And yes, I did something I would never normally do: I handed over control of my own wedding.

The day began in a very relaxed atmosphere at the estate’s chalet. In the end, we didn't get in the car—we went straight to one of the rooms on the estate. No stress, no drive home—just arriving and letting the most wonderful day come to a close.

I’ve photographed over 150 weddings in recent years. Over 150 times I’ve had goosebumps. Over 150 times there were tears that no one saw coming.
